蔡俊三

蔡俊三(1890-1979)中国著名的静物摄影大师。1890年出生,广东顺德县龙江人。 1927年,在广州芳村孤儿院担任美术教员时开始摄影。
1928年,处女作《春江水暖》入选英国伦敦摄影沙龙,并刊登于当年的英国摄影年鉴。
1934年,应上海《良友画报》邀请,成为这家当时国内一流画报的专栏作者。从长江逆江而上,进入四川,沿途拍摄长江景色,及三峡风光和巴蜀风情。之后,他顺江而下拍摄了四川万县、湖北宜昌、武汉汉口及国都南京等地的风土人情。这一时期的作品曾发表于《美术生活》、《飞鹰》、《柯达杂志》等当时与摄影相关的杂志。
1930年代末,曾在国都南京与亲戚合开了一间摄影冲晒服务社,由于抗战爆发,离开南京回到广州。后由广州迁至香港。
1940年前后,与著名风光摄影大师薛子江在香港合办国际摄影服务社。
1941年,蔡俊三回到了广州,与广州永汉路(今北京路)开设了景象和风度两家照相馆。1948年,与薛子江一同被英国皇家摄影学会吸收为高级会员。
1950年代,他曾担任中国摄影学会(中国摄影家协会前身)常务理事。时任全国摄影艺术展览评委。担任中国摄影学会广东分会副主席。
1951年,作品《出渔》入选1951年英国摄影年鉴(PHOTOGRAMS OF THE YEAR 1951)。
1963年,《人民画报》用两个整版介绍了《蔡俊三的摄影艺术》,此辑P20至P24介绍了《杰出的人民艺术家——齐白石老人》,P25至P26介绍了蔡俊三先生及其四幅艺术摄影作品,其中代表作《鸟喜归来》使人印象深刻。
1979年7月9日,在香港去世。
1980年5月,在广州举行了蔡俊三摄影遗作展览,展出作品100幅。
1981年,花城出版社出版了《蔡俊三摄影艺术》,入选作品114幅。
蔡俊三解放前后曾在国际摄影沙龙中入选及获得奖章、奖状共126项;多幅作品多次入选全国摄影艺术展览。代表作有:《春江水暖》、《鸟喜春来》(又叫《枝头栖息》)、《依依膝下》、《伴侣》(又叫《三友》)、《果园女》、《素描》、《我也养》、《在放假的日子里》、《赶上了》(又叫《抓鹅》)、《是害鸟吧!》、《宝宝,你看!》、《有声有色》、《萝卜》、《甜蜜》、《荔枝酒》等。
黄建鹏画廊收藏了蔡俊三先生1930-1970年代的数幅代表作品。
 

CHUN SAM TSOT

 

Chun Sam Tsot is a prominent still life photographer in China. He was born in 1890

In 1927 he began photographing when he was an art teacher in Fangcun orphanage in Guangzhou.

In 1928 his debut piece the Warmth of the River First in the Spring was selected into the London Salon of Photography. This piece was also published on the Photograms of the Year London

In 1934 he was invited to be a column editor in famous Shanghai magazine Illustrated Companion. He photographed scenery along the Changjiang River, where he started his trip from Sichuan Province. He photographed the famous three gorges and landscape in Sichuan style. From there he went down the river to photograph Wan town in Sichuan, Yichang in Hubei Province and Nanjing City. His works were published in photographic magazine such as Life magazine, Eagle magazine and Kodak magazine.

In 1930 Chun Sam Tsot opened a photo shop in Nanjing. He left Nanjing when the Sino-Japanese war broke out. He moved to Hong Kong later.

In 1940 Chun Sam Tsot met Xue Zijiang. They opened an international photographic studio in Hong Kong.

In 1941 Chun Sam Tsot went back to Guangzhou and opened Scene Photographic Studio and  Demeanor Photographic Studio.

In 1948 Chun Sam Tsot and Xue Zijiang became the premier members in the Royal Photographic Society.

In 1950 he was Executive director of the Photographic Society of China and the Executive director of China Photography Magazine and National Photography jury. He was also the vice president of the Photographic Society of China, Guangdong.

In 1951 His piece Fishing was selected into the Photograms of the Year 1951.


In 1963 Illustrated people Magazine published the issue for the photography of Chun Sam Tsot. There was an essay about Qi Baishi and his paintings from Page twenty to Page twenty-four on the magazine. On Page twenty-five Chun Sam Tsot’s photographic works were presented. Birds Coming Back with Pleasure was the most impressive.

In 1979 Chun Sam Tsot  died in Hong Kong.

In May 1980 Chun Sam Tsot’s retrospective exhibition which included his one hundred pieces were shown in Guangzhou.


In 1981 Flower City Publishing House published Chun Sam Tsot’s Photographic Art. One hundred and fourteen pieces of his works were published.
